Play unlikely in India-Bangladesh one-dayer
CHITTAGO
NG, Bangladesh (AFP) - Bad weather was likely to prevent any play in the third and final one-day international between India and Bangladesh here on Tuesday.
Heavy overnight rain water-logged the Ruhul Amin stadium and the groundstaff strugged in overcast conditions to dry the field.
Match referee Roshan Mahanama was to inspect the conditions again at 12 noon (0600 GMT) before taking a final decision on the fate of the game.
The two teams chose to remain in their hotel till the weather cleared.
The match holds only academic interest after India won the first two matches in Dhaka last week to take a decisive 2-0 series lead.
India and Bangladesh are also due to play a two-Test series with the first Test scheduled to begin here on Friday.
